Pediatric Occupational Therapist: Full time/Part time
Overview:
Screen, evaluate and treat clients who would benefit from occupational therapy. Provide
family with education, tips, and strategies regarding client goals. Ability to follow client from
intake through discharge once goals have been met. Must be able to provide post
treatment support programs if appropriate.
Requirements:
Licensure through the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency
Registration through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
Current or within 90 days) BLS certification, credentialed from the American Heart
Association (AHA).
The ability to document using electronic medical records system.
Must be coachable, people-oriented, and a flexible thinker.
Education:
Must have graduated from an accredited occupational therapy program and have passed the certification exam through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
Occupational Therapist
Duties/Responsibilities of OTs include, but not limited to:
- Conduct evaluations and write evaluation reports
- Conduct occupational therapy treatment sessions
- Write and maintain updated plans of care for each client
- Maintain a folder for each client
- Record clinical documentation/data in medical record in EMR system
- Bill appropriately for documented services rendered
- Fax physician referrals, plans of care, etc. to physicians for signatures
- Fax necessary information and prior authorization requests to insurance companies
- Collaborate with therapists on client’s team as well as communicate with supervisor
regarding client progress, concerns, and plans of care
- Correspondence with families, including initial contact, progress, etc.
- Adhere to specific requirements for individual insurance companies
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, including cleaning up materials when
finished and sanitizing work spaces as necessary
- Participate in interdisciplinary and team meetings as requested
- Adhere to HIPAA and other privacy rules to protect patient PHI
- Acquire necessary durable medical equipment and adaptive equipment for clients
