Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy Goals for 2026

No matter the age or skill level, building your child’s motor skills should be on your to-do list for 2026. Using proven therapy techniques, occupational/physical therapy can help your child become more confident and independent this year.

Occupational Therapy Goals
Dressing and self-care (brushing teeth, combing hair, washing hands)
Fine motor skills - pencil holding, writing, color in the lines,
Mealtime participation - setting the table, (safely!) cutting fruit and other soft foods

Improved balance and coordination (Standing on one foot, hopping from foot to foot, less falling, crawling to walking to running)
Walking up and down stairs
Playground confidence - encouraging your child to safely climb a latter or go down the big slide
Sports readiness - introducing sports and other organized activities to help your child grow.
